TX Furry Communities

Lonestarfurs.org  Established in 2005, this forum quickly gained a large user base and has now become the primary site for meeting furs in your area and planning meets.  LSF has a main forum with several topical sub-forums and also has sub-forums specifically for each major city in Texas.  So sign up, introduce yourself and start exploring the furmeets section of the community you are closest to.

Furry Fiesta Forum  This is the forum of Texas's own furry convention, held each year in Dallas.  This is a great forum to use for coordinating rides to the con and setting up roomshares at the hotel.

Livejournal

TexasAreaFurs  Established in 2003 and maintained by Shiva.  While most meet planning occurs on the forum these days, Livejournal is still a good way to meet people if you're new to the area.  This community is the oldest active TX fur community on LJ.

Texas_Furry  Established in 2004.  This LJ community is about the same size as TexasAreaFurs so if you're really looking to meet people I would suggest joining and posting to both.

Furry Fiesta The official LJ community of Furry Fiesta.  Join this community to keep up to date on the latest convention-related announcements.  Often calls for volunteers, info about panels and other important announcements are made here.  The convention newsletter is also posted to this community.
